On the TV show colour in your life Priya was asked to demonstrate the four different stages of her painting process. in particular she was asked to show how she paints her very famous red tailed black cockatoo portrait.

But as an artist and as a creative person we tend to not repeat ourselves which compelled Priya to rediscover this same subject with each version of its expression and this is the second one from that lot. It is a beautiful male red tailed black cockatoo portrait whose feathers are reflecting and expressing that gratitude which Priya has towards all the teachers and the artists in the world who inspire her to create.

“Every plant, tree, and animal is a blessing and every person has a purpose for living. Courage, curiosity, and generosity produce noble spirits. Enduring life honorably results in wisdom. Knowledge passed down from one generation to the next along with humankind's tradition of performing charitable and self-sacrificing deeds creates principled legacies for future generations to emulate.”
― Kilroy J. Oldster, Dead Toad Scrolls

    What I Do

Australian rainforests offer the abundance of natural wonder. The bush walks and coastal hikes replenish the emptiness of the soul with a long-lasting creative energy. Artist’s life revolves around the exploration of nature’s intricacies that are often hidden in the obvious.

Being in nature amongst the beautiful birds, animals, trees of the rainforest and the ocean has had profound effect on the artist’s mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Priya’s artwork tries to convey something beyond what we humans can encompass with our limited understanding of the nature and its power.
