The rainforest retreat is inspired by artist's current state of mind. In the past, a retreat was a secluded tranquil experience we seek for to get away from the busy schedules and crowded places. But recently, due to prolonged isolation experience; a retreat for us is being together with our friends and family; having meals together, watching movies together, having long conversations, singing and dancing together. This piece truly represents the joyous moments we all have with our friends and family.
The beautiful scarlet macaws with the variety of poses represent the individuals they are and the unique body language each one of them showcase the diversity. 
The deep rich colours of the lush forest and the birds with the dark background engages the viewer to enter inside the artwork.

    What I Do

    Australian rainforests offer the abundance of natural wonder. The bush walks and coastal hikes replenish the emptiness of the soul with a long-lasting creative energy. Artist’s life revolves around the exploration of nature’s intricacies that are often hidden in the obvious.

     

    Being in nature amongst the beautiful birds, animals, trees of the rainforest and the ocean has had profound effect on the artist’s mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Priya’s artwork tries to convey something beyond what we humans can encompass with our limited understanding of the nature and its power.
